I support tax refund more than the wasteful public construction projects as a way to stimulate the economy. 50 Billion NT dollars can give on average 5000 NTD to each household (assume 10 Million tax filers) in Taiwan. That should moderate the blow of the rising price on gas and food for a short period of time.
Hopefully, with some conservation effort around the world, the oil price will fall back below 80 dollars/Barrel in the next 3 months to 1 year.
